I've recently bought a Nikon D40, which I love. I am getting back into photography after a very long hiatus. I was never very good but I would luck into nice shots because I sometimes have a good eye for composition (I knew all those art classes waaay back when would come in handy).

My brother, who is the photographer in the family, is coaching me along and pointed me to the Nikon D40/x challenge group on Flickr. I have entered my first weekly challenge with a picture of the beast in her Kitty Pi.

Apparently not...

I've been spending so much time over on ravelry that it looks like I won't be updating this blog anymore frequently than the last one.

Right now it is invitation only but if you are a knitter you need to go sign up forthwith! It has loads of forums but it also lets you catalog your knitting tools, books, stash, FOs or WIPs. It is the coolest thing since sliced bread.
